The annual tuition fee at Sommerville, as quoted on the current fee schedule, is an all-inclusive amount. All programme materials, including workbooks and text books as well as all basic school supplies, such as binders, paper, exercise books and writing materials, are provided by the school at no cost to the parent. Students are not required to purchase any school supplies but may feel free to utilize personal writing implements if they choose to do so.
Fees
The fee structure for full-day programmes has been developed in three separate divisions:
Kindergarten Division (JK & SK) Annual fee: $10,000
Primary Division – Grades 1-3 Annual fee: $10,200
Junior / Intermediate Division – Grades 4-8 Annual fee: $10,500
Deposit
A deposit of $1,000 per family is required to retain a space in one of our classes for the following academic year. This amount is credited towards the annual tuition fee and will be deducted from the total tuition amount on the family invoice.
Discounts
Sommerville is pleased to offer Family Discounts to those families with two or more children registered simultaneously. An 8% discount is offered for the second child in the family and 12% for the third.
Payment options
In an attempt to accommodate the needs of all of our families, Sommerville has developed three distinct payment plans:
- The Advance payment plan offers a discount to those families who choose to pay the full year’s fees in advance.
- The Standard payment plan divides the whole year’s fee into three equal payments, the due dates being distributed evenly throughout the year.
- The Monthly payment option provides the opportunity for parents to pay the school fees over a period of ten months. This option includes administration and service charges.
Regardless of which payment plan is chosen, parents are required to submit post-dated cheques in order to retain their child’s place over the summer months.
