For four weeks in July we offer academic programmes, presented by qualified teachers, in math and language skills. Our Primary language classes include phonics, reading, writing and self-expression. The Junior and Intermediate classes focus on writing skills, comprehension, spelling and grammar skills. All of these crucial skills, packaged in a creative format, provide a fun-filled, learning experience for your child.
All of our math programmes include computation skills as well as problem solving and logical thinking. Mental arithmetic exercises will sharpen your child’s mathematical reflexes and strengthen their basic knowledge of number facts. Math can be fun – we can show you how!
Summer time is a time for fun and what could be more fun than being part of a diverse recreational programme? The Summer at Sommerville afternoon programme offers a selection of fun experiences for the students including Art, Music, Crafts, Games, Sports and Outdoor Fun in the Sun. Our large, well equipped gymnasium is a perfect forum for the range of traditional sports we play at Sommerville and the outdoor playground offers opportunities to play basketball, soccer or tennis, and for the younger children our play structures provide fun and adventure. There truly is something for everyone during the weeks of Summer at Sommerville.
Students can register for the morning academic programme only OR the afternoon programme only OR try a combination programme, with Academics in the morning and fun in the afternoon.
